Thank you so much! Me being an aviation enthusiast quickly understood why the ends are pointy just after you gave the example of pointy ends in an aircraft. Thanks a lot again. Nice video

Good explanation understood very well.

Positive ions in lightning conductor are immobile. They are static in there corresponding position.
In fact the air molecules around the conductor are ionised and moved to neutralise the cloud

In second fig. you have been said pronton from lighting conductor move to electron of cloud and make neutral but protons are not movable.

Very nice video sir.

Faraday's Cage, direction of lighting strike is more interesting part of the video.

Sir this was the best explanation thank youuuu!!My doubts are getting cleared bcuz of u sir...

Hello Sir, on your explanation, I have a confusion when you say positive charges move upward as positive stream, from my understanding positive charges((absence of an electron from the atom or positive ions) are nor free like negative charge electron, so how come they move upward ?

Will the size of lightning conductor decrease as time passes by?

Hi. 4:31 when the ion in the cloud gets neutralized, how does it push the electron on the lightning rod downwards?

Sir, if a big building, suppose 1 km away from my house has installed lighting conducter, what are the chances that a lightning will hit my house?

Why lightning rod is not affected by lightning inspite of huge power?

Thanks for the video - I'm researching airplane jet/turbine and the seemingly lack of fuel it takes for planes to fly - based on the math alone it would take an extraordinary amount of fuel just at one airport and there is little to no evidence of this fuel - take off and landing would need fuel but it seems the planes generate their own energy while at 38, 000 feet. Since there is 100 volts every 3 feet off the ground (equipotential lines) that gets us to 1, 266, 666 volts at 38k feet. It seems planes have the ability to harness this energy for propulsion and we are being kept in the dark of this free energy - any thoughts?

Explaination was good and diagrams are also good

In an area of lightning is extremely high and predictable, we want to use this energy in any way, do you think or suggest a way?

I've seen a false leader (if that's the way to say it). It looked like plasma traveling away from a house gutter about 6 feet from me, up into the sky, and at an exponentially increasing speed (like a rocket increases speed, but much faster). Then, a fraction of a second layer the sky lit up pretty far away. I assume another leader was used for the volt return path to ground, but just a guess. I recorded it with an old phone 11 years ago, so the quality was not great.

Thank you. But I've a doubt. I saw in another video that the positive charges accumulated in the lighting rod will ionise the surrounding atmosphere and the positive charges will be attracted to the cloud.. is that also true??

Why is the electrons in the base of the cloud attracted to the point of the metal rod if the point is more packed with negative electrons?

Plz explain, the faradays cage works in electrostatic equilibrium, but a lightening is a flow of charge r8?
