Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

"You may all go home... You will be compensated for your shifts."
At least he's fair as a boss.

You can tell Gus is a good boss, even after telling them to go home they hesitate. They’re obviously worried about him, shows how much they like/respect him.

Gus should have told hector if he has a complaint he can call corporate.

Even if it's a front, Gus still treats his civilian employees more respectfully than most legitimate business owners or managers.

It’s nice seeing just how brave and loyal Spongebob is, hesitant in leaving Mr. Krabs alone with Old Man Jenkins and his goons

Lyle is cold blooded, loyal, and fries a mean chicken wing. That's why he's instrumental to Gus Fring's operation.

Lyle was about to bust shit open. That "you sure?" sounded dead real.

The moment Gus saved the cartel by convincing Lyle to leave, sparing Hector and his men from annihilation.

No wonder Gus taunted him relentlessly in Breaking Bad.

Lyle was Gus most trusted fryer, the cartel wanted him for his frying abilities, the fries had a 99% vegetable oil purity

These guys had no idea how lucky they were that Lyle didn't stay.

I love how Gus smiles in an evil way in the end knowing that his plan is working meanwhile Hector is thinking that he is in control. Brilliant writing and acting as always.

He smiles because he's finally close to his plan in BrBa. He's convinced the Cartel to rely more heavily on him, getting him closer to them. Gus' patience was his most dangerous quality. The slow game was always his favorite game.

Lyle has the work ethic of Spongebob Squarepants.

I love how all of Gus' employees are fearing for him, meanwhile Gus is fearing for all of them. Such a beautiful dichotomy

I love how Gus Fring speaks. Most people would say "you'll be paid in full" he says "you will be compensated for your full shifts"

I always loved how Gus is so calm and gentle alongside normal people. But against his enemies he’s cold blooded and scary.

The amount of patience Gus had to have was astounding

Gus talking to Hector like a customer service executive..
That was genius

Hector is an idiot, confronting Fring at his restaurant publicly like this. Could have exposed all of them. He's lucky none of Fring's employees went and told the police.
