Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.

Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

I love how Gus' first appearance in the show is like he's just a simple background character, it fits extremely well, so much so that Walt and Jesse don't even realize its him.

Walt never met the king pin. But became a regular at Pollos. He beat lung cancer but the over indulgence in fried food destroyed his liver. Rest in peace Walt.

I really like how they didn’t make it super obvious that Gus was the person they’re looking for, makes you feel like you’re actually looking WITH Walt and Jesse

the idea that Gus' first appearance in both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul is like he simply has zero existence is just magnificent

It is incredible that at first glance, Gus seems to be a calm, polite and very kind guy, but in reality he is cold, calculating, ruthless and very dangerous, the best villain on tv.

Gus asking "Gentlemen, is everything to your satisfaction?" is a subtle way of telling us that he cares about his customers' satisfaction. Brilliant writing, bravo Vince!

1:36 Boy, that man that asks Walt and Jessie if everything is to their satisfaction sure seems like a decent and kind person. I can’t imagine him doing any harm to anyone!

Love how they showed gus, and for people watching this for the first on TV they have no idea. Just perfect

I love how you can see Gus realize immediately that this was a mistake and that he never wants to talk to Walt or Jesse again.

I never get tired of watching Breaking Bad scenes. I don't know why.
Like I get bored after going through some MCU movie clips, but Breaking Bad - nope, never. Can't wait to binge watch this show for the nth time again.

A complete fantasy to think there is a fast food restaurant that would run that well and be so respectful to its employees.

The fact that in that 5 sec. interaction posing as a nondescript, all smiles manager, he already had them pegged for what kind of people they were.

It pains me to watch this scene and see Walter sitting there and not touching that chicken he ordered. Don't let it go to waste.

I love how Gus is nothing more than a background character in this scene and Walt has no clue who he is. Perfectly encapsulates Gus’ character and persona that he presents to the world

Walt and Jesse the best TV double act in history 😅 I love their mixture of contempt and respect for eachother and how their sarcasm bounces off one another.
