Obi wan was one of the most successful Jedi during the era of the prequels. Using his wits and stirdy defensive lightsaber style, Obi wan defeated Darth Maul, General Grievous and Anakin Skywalker.

However in atyack if the Clones and revenge of the sith, Dooku was able to dispose of Kenobi with relative ease. So why was this?

One of the main reasons for this was the two force weilders lightsaber forms. Obi Wans form 3 light saber combat was incredibly defensivene and was designed to take advantage of opponents mistakes if they became complacent or made a mistake. This worked perfectly in conjunction with Kenobi's wit. The defeat of Grievous, Maul and Anakin had all been because Obi Wan slowly wore his oppontents down, lulling them into a false sense of security before striking when they make an error.

However, Dooku used form 2 and was possibly it's best practicioner of all time. Form 2 focused heavily on lightsaber on lightsaber combat and stressed the importance of precision and efficiency.

This put obi wan at a massive disadvantage. While other opponents would be ground down until they made a mistake by Obi Wans lightsaber style, Dooku simply did not make mistakes. His efficiency allowed the sith Lord to conserve his energy while Obi Wan slowly wore himself down with his defensive strikes. This was demonstrated most clearly during the duel on geonosis. Dookus efficient and accurate blows allowe him to dispatch of the Jedi master relatively quickly.

In the revenge of the sith duel, the reason for obi Wans defeat is quite different. Obi wan had honed his mastery of form 3 during the clone wars. So well in fact that Mace Windu described him as the master of form 3 and it was for this reason that he sent him to duel Grievous.

Dooku was well aware of this fact and so called upon his increased power in the dark side to force to break through his force shield and knock him unconconcious. As discussed in previous videos, there is speculation that Palpatine had something to do with Dookus ability to break through Kenobi's force shield.

Dookus overpowering of Obi Wan on geonosis and onboard the invisible hand demonstrates the immense power Dooku weilded. More improtanlty though, it shows the elegence and intelligence behind dookus fighting style. While maul, Anakin and grievous were powerful, they lacked grace and wit, allowing Obi wan to exploit their mistakes. Dookus years of experience prevented Kenobi from doing this, allowing Dooku to exploit Kenobi's own mistakes with a well placed lightsaber strike or force choke.

Easy Dooku practiced form 2 which is a more duelist type of form while Kenobi practiced form 3 being a more defensive form and form 3 is weak against form 2 this explains how Dooku lost to Anakin cuz Anakin uses form 5 a more strength based form Dooku was overwhelmed let’s get to the point Dooku easily broke Kenobi’s defenses with form 2 letting him win
