How to Install a Ring Doorbell (and Chime)

I love the Ring platform and finally upgraded our doorbell. This video takes you through the super simple install process along with the plug-in chime.

Excellent, informative video. Very helpful, especially about the chime (of which we knew nothing about). (Note: today we installed a new Ring Video Doorbell 2nd Generation (wired), only to find out that model makes our existing doorbell NOT work (?!) unless you get a chime). We were not pleased about that. Our prior Ring Video Doorbell 2 worked great for 6 years and allowed our wired doorbell work just fine). Thanks for posting your well done video.

Truly easy. My only issue ( due do not being overly handy ) was not drilling pilot holes before trying to drill the bracket mounting screws into the wooden door trim, so it's a "bit" unprofessional-looking. I'll go back later to fix it. Otherwise I'm pretty satisfied with it so far.

There's always a nice flat wide surface on these videos. My door trim is not even and the flat surface there is (on the inside of the door jamb) is very narrow.

Please steer clear of the battery ring doorbell, they are rubbish! Go wired they are fantastic!
