how smoothly he moved through the water no wake if he made a splash they would have felt it but he was gentle returning to the water he just slid in like a knife into butter no disturbance just a slow decent into the depths. beautiful

I had an amazing experience of the coast of Maui in 2012. While our boat was stationary I glanced down into the water and saw pure white. It was a large female just floating under the boat upside down with her newborn calf right next to her. They hung around for awhile and it was truly amazing.

İt's called spyhopping when they do this.. So beautiful. I go out to see them every year - it's such a humanising experience ... I always come home feeling so insignificant : )
