Thanks for the video but I found it confusing with all of the turning back and forth that was done when setting the lefthand point. After watching the video over and over 20x I finally decided to give it a go. It was actually easier than I thought it would be and I didn't have to do all the turning back and forth. I just stood behind the head while it was on and could see the lefthand point was way too far left (spraying my neighbor's car). Therefore, I had to turn the whole sprinkler back into our yard by hand so it was spraying down the property line. Then after seeing it spray into the street on the right, I started adjusting the entry hole on the back (opposite the arrow) and after doing this a few times got it to stop where I needed.

Thank you for this concise info, I replaced my old R50's with 5000PC's,
Your video taught me how to adjust as a first timer. Thank you

I watched this a bunch last year and this year because it is the best video…even though I’ve been very confused with these instructions but just now figured out an IMPORTANT key feature left out which is: to adjust the side motion you turn the Entire head to the left with your hand and if it is going to far left you crank the entire head to the right almost forcing it to a point that felt like I would break the cheap feeling plastic

Watch video once, remain calm then actually go outside. Take phone and small flat head screwdriver to sprinkler head. Restart video pausing as each step is explained and accomplished and it all falls into place. if you have compatible rotors you will look like a boss. Not that complicated it is just unfamiliar. Also approach this task expecting to succeed or hire it done instead. Thank you for the no fluff straight forward instructions EOS!

I am literally less confident in adjusting my sprinkler heads after watching this lol

When I watch a Rainbird video on adjusting it says to rotate the rotor all the way to the right, then all the way to the left as you did. Then it says do NOT turn left past that point as you may strip the gears. It says to rotate the entire head clockwise to get to the correct left stopping point.

Finally a fast, easy to follow answer. When you remake the vid with the next gen head, make sure you state you are facing the area to be irrigated. I found your comment in the remarks. This makes a WORLD of difference. Not obvious to this noob.

After much frustration, I RTFM this video of yours. Thank you, SIR!!! Pause & do, pause & do; works brilliantly!

I had to turn mine quite hard to get the left stop to move. Not sure if that is typical or mine are just old or something!
Very clear and helpful video, thanks! I’ve already referenced it for two Summers.

Excellent video. Had a few dry spots appear and after this video with a screwdriver...100% coverage again. Now I am back to telling them the golf course is THAT WAY, this place is my yard. :)

Great video, except for the explanation of adjusting the left to right spray radius. I watched it several times, but it was still so confusing that I am going to search for another video.

I've watched about 8 other videos and I'm not saying they weren't helpful, but you addressed all of my nagging questions. Such a direct and concise explanation and visual was just what I needed to feel that "a-ha" moment and tackle this project.

Thanks. I've replaced a couple of fixed sprayers but not a rotator until now. The irony is i watched other how to's and they talked about the left and right settings while the rotor is out of the ground and that does nothing. I was guessing that if I turned the rotor past where I wanted the right stop. the left would move as well, then just use the tool to re adjust the right to where I want that and voila. Worked just like you said. Other videos implied wrongly that the left spray cant be adjusted and that is correct out of the ground not in the ground.

Thanks for explaining you can set the left edge by turning left BEYOND the stop. The Rain Bird instructions say you can unscrew and "adjust internally" which I tried. But there is no visible stop - just the spring and the 2-pc rotor that ratchets. I was replacing an old head, had the new one all set to the left stop, tried multiple times to screw it onto the fitting, but could never get it tight where the left stop aligned with the needed position. That's when I Googled and found this video. Extremely helpful. Thanks!

Thanks so much. As you explained, it just made sense. Walked to my sprinkler head and JUST DID IT!
