Ground-breaking new visual interventions can significantly improve symptoms and help children reach their full potential. Award-winning Optometrist, Noel McCrystal from Dungannon, is unique in the UK & Ireland, offering four leading optical techniques for addressing dyslexia: Cerium overlays, Chromagen, Intuitive Colorimetry and Schoolvision. Through his own personal challenges with dyslexia, he embarked on a journey of detecting and helping individuals with dyslexia. Chromagen system helps identify the specific tints required for individual needs. The Intuitive Colorimeter system offers further precision, with over 110,000 colour possibilities. Having worked initially with ‘Chromagen’, as well as acquiring an ‘Intuituve Colorimeter’ machine to open up all the possibilities of further colour permutations, he still observed a gap in treatment methods. Following further research, Noel completed a Diploma in ‘Schoolvision’(Geraint Griffiths – Leicestershire) which investigates the muscular anomalies that exist both inside and around the outside of the eyeball, in an accurate process aimed exclusively at stabilising the dominant eye. In adopting this Programme, in conjunction with previous knowledge, the Practice has seen substantial improvements in practically all patients (85%- 90%).
