If they're reacting to hell let loose, there should be cinematic explosions, bombing runs, artillery, satisfying shots, suppressing fire, squad charges, tank battles

How did you guys not have them react to the artillery strikes in the game? It's the most realistic thing about the game and in any game i've seen.

Definitely needs a part 2 on this game especially the dude who did the tank vids

@gamology If you haven't heard about GLID, he is a former Royal Marine and his gaming channel is absolutely killing it with tactical mil-sim games. He plays with other vets and the way they shoot, move and communicate is authentic to how we do things in the service. it would be amazing if you checked him out because his playthroughs of Ready or Not are shot and edited like a film. I know Cameron and Israel would love the content.

Wish they would’ve shown some newer footage and a bit of the Russian front. And especially they need to see some bombing runs cause those are literal hell let loose

the name of the game is based on the expanded version of that quote "If a battlefield is Hell, then War is Hell let loose'

Too bad they didn't get to see some of the commander assets, vehicles, or even artillery. I love some of the artillery effects in this game, so good. I'm guessing they didn't show any of the gore for Youtube reasons, but I feel like it adds to the experience when you see a guy in front of you turn into giblets.

Just FYI, the KAR98 does not get "cold" during the winter. It is actually very operational friendly. We had them while I was in the cadet youth (surplus from ww2 occupation) way back. Probably of the few that have actually had three different calibers on my regular service rifles, 7, 9x57 (Mauser KAR98k), 7, 62x51(HKG3) and lastly 5, 56x45 (HK416).

Anyway, Hell let loose (name comes from a book about ww2, with the same title, I think) is the arcade version of ww2 games, which is okay, but personally I like Post Scriptum better and the rifle shooting is more realistic in the latter. However the latter is a bit harder without icons and so on. Basically Squad ww2, but not as popular as Hell. I recommend owning both games though.

Hell let loose is such a good game. Its so much fun to just sqaud up with some randoms and get stuff done using good communication.

Its less fun when the command is level 10 and doesnt talk....

those maps all are actual maps of famous ww2 battles.
hell let loose was how people referred to the bloodshed of war.

this game encapsulates it well. being close to a bombing run is intense.

Love this game, because of this game i cant play battlefield or call of duty anymore. The gore and one shot capabilities are so enjoyable.

To answer the map question, they go back and use maps of the day and go into the archives to get photos and topography of the time to re-create these maps to be as accurate as they can.

Also the wooden wall that they build. You need resorces to built them. Your squadmate (support) can give you some. There are alot of things they didn't show which is kinda sad. Because the game has a really big mechanism.

Actually fun fact, the Geneva Convention was written in 1949. Three years after ww2 ended. There were still rules of war, don't kill civilians, don't kill surrendering troops, don't steal from civilians, etc. (Note, I am likely wrong about at least two of those things so feel free to correct me)

It’s does appear you build from nothing but you actually need to have supplies placed nearby in order to craft defences or stations

"Hell let loose" is the most common description for actions described by veterans of WW2. i.e. "We were moving into a positions, and then all hell let loose". Once you know, you'll hear it EVERYWHERE, from veterans of all sides.

I wish they had a HLL player explaining things to them.

1:19 I'm 100% sure that's going to be a thing in the near future. All you need is some AR glasses/visor and a tracker on your team mates. Mix that with some Ai to do the calculations and you're golden.
