Even the best argument that Christian’s have on their side is an argument for literally every other god.

When I was younger, I used to think the word "apologetics" was based on the word "apology", as in, "I'm sorry this doesn't make any sense".

I've always been a critical thinker, but somehow my God belief was completely off limits from that. I really went with "you can't _prove_ God doesn't exist" when I would easily call people out for doing the same. Childhood indoctrination goes deep.

This one always made me laugh. “But what if christianity is the way? Don’t you want to follow it just in case?” Like, for absolute starters, what about all the other religions?

The best argument for Christianity is the unmatched energy of "Jesus fucking Christ" as an exclamation

this is a tangent, but the "if you hear hoofbeats, think horses not zebras" has ruined the medical profession. we've got thousands of doctors now who just assume zebras do not exist, and so tons of chronic illnesses go undiagnosed

I took physical damage when I heard “the scientific principle of Occam’s Razor”.

It’s not a scientific principle, it’s a logical tool.

My transition from thinking non believers were stupid to think that we are nothing but atoms, energy, and chemical reactions, to now seeing the beauty in those facts was so liberating. We are the universe observing itself.

I always see these long videos and think "I probably won't watch this whole thing, I'll skip around" then end up watching the whole thing straight through. So captivating.

I am so sick of apologists using the "I can't prove my claim, but unless you can prove me wrong you are required to believe me." thing.

From my view, the existence of a god does not warrant the worship; I left religion because I wanted to chose my own morality rather than just copying that of my parent's religion. I am, and so are you, the master of your own destiny is yourself; being free from the control of religion or a god is reason enough to leave.

So annoying how they assume atheists all say “there is no god” rather than “I don’t believe in one.” They have to make atheism a positive claim so they can ask for proof

The entire "we can disprove Santa because the world is different from what we'd expect if Santa existed" is exactly why I am certain no proposed gods exist.

The world would be different from what it is if any of these gifs existed.

The dude who said "it's hard to find a Christian in Canada" just blew me away. I'm Canadian and grew up in a town of about 300 people. There were 3 churches inside the town, and more scattered around in the even smaller communities outside of town. I now live in a larger city (still in Canada) and you can't drive 5 minutes without seeing signs for some church. Either that guy was oblivious or he grew up in a log cabin in the wilderness and never left it.

Answers for "sincere questions"

1) No, I don't believe in a god.
2) Yes, beliefs should be formed off of evidence.
3) "Evidence for Q1", null hypothesis. It's the default position.

Easy af, when you don't let apologists and their kind set the terms of wording.
