Do God and science contradict each other?

Does religion (God) and science contradict one another? Can religion and science coexist? What about evolution, DNA, the big bang theory? For some reason, we have the idea that it has to be either God - OR - science, as if one contradicts the other, as if one disproves the other, as if they are two opposing forces at battle, and only one can win. But if there is a God, and God is truth, then truth could never contradict science, and if anything, science should lead us to God, and never away.

A priest once told me that religion explains what God does and science explains how God does it. I love that explanation because it simply means that religion and science complement each other.

I grew up telling people I’m Christian and that I love space and science, and I heard too many times from people that science disproves God or from fellow believers that God doesn’t approve of science. It’s truly disappointing when people don’t see the correlation.

As a 13 year old boy going through what our generation is now i feel evolved at a younger age and your videos calm and show you what is going on without making you overthink about it, i was laying down and when you compared that everything in our universe was balanced and compared it to the “what if i told you all that code just evolved by it self” that was such a smart way of saying it.

I’m glad you brought up Georges LeMaitre, as many atheists use the BBT as some sort of “gotcha” argument without realizing many scientific atheists actually refuted it because it lent credence to the possibility of intelligent design.

I had to come to these conclusions on my own as a believer, but I am glad to know that there are tools to show people what took over a decade of internal reasoning, biblical/scientific study, and contemplation in quiet depressing evenings.
