Germany has confirmed that it will send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine and approve their re-export from other countries, in a move that was hailed by Kyiv’s Western allies and decried by Russia as a dangerous escalation.
Moscow has slammed Berlin’s move to supply Ukraine with battle tanks and accused Germany of abandoning its “historical responsibility to Russia” arising from Nazi crimes in World War II.
The Russian embassy in Germany said on Wednesday the decision to send 14 German-made Leopard 2 tanks to Kyiv and allow allies to re-export the same models would worsen the war in Ukraine to a new level and lead to “permanent escalation”.

Al Jazeera’s Dominic Kane reports from Berlin, Germany.

This is what happens when a "spy" - of questionable capabilities (in charge of a backwater town like Leipzig, during the cold war) - decides he is a "general"...

Thirty years ago in 1983, there was a TV movie about a fictional atomic war between the US and Russia called, "The Day After." It starred Jason Robards, and over 100 million Americans watched it, but it has been long forgotten. In this story, Russia, fed up with the continual buildup of NATO troops on its borders, decides to make the first move. It launches a preliminary nuclear attack against Germany, then on our ships in the Persian Gulf, triggering an all-out nuclear war between the US and Russia, wiping out both countries as a direct result. SOUND FAMILIAR??

We need to remember how WW2 started and what helped to end it. This scenario reminds me a lot of that war. Only if our politicians will stop hesitating and our governments will work together - only then we will be able to stand a chance in preventing WW3. EIther we unite now or we will all suffer horrendous consequences later. Doesn't matter when - be it one year or five, after putin is done with Ukraine he will go further West.

Nikolay Pirogov invented anesthesia, in 1847; a Russian Doctor dealing with a lot of casualties of war.
If you Google it, it was invented by a Boston dentist…

Those tanks will be useless without proper training and tactics. Considering how limited they are, it need to be well protected by the infantries. Hope Ukrainians can use them better than the Russians.
