I’m gonna have to spend good money to have a garage install an old filler neck wa matching gas cap off an older vehicle because you assholes designed a problem down the road

perfect system for GM, allows contaminents into fuel system everytime you fuel up and causes premature fuel pump failure, which is located INSIDE the gas tank. So you give them $600 -$800 to replace the fuel pump because GM saved $1.50 not including some sort of gas cap cover.

What about if somebody wants to put dirt or sugar into your gas? Did the engineers even think about!? Or did they think this was a perfect world and only gated communities would buy this truck.

$80K truck and NO WAY to lock it to stop people stealing your fuel or keeping dirt and water from going into your fuel system every time you fuel up. SUCH BULLSHIT And for people that are too stupid to put their gas cap back on after fueling ???? Maybe they should not be driving. Awesome peice of engineering General Motors.

What a stupid design... a capless fuel filler system. Here's how it will work: I drive around, desert sand blowing everywhere lands on and in this design. I push the fuel nozzle in and it washes the sand further down the system, into the tank. Is there a fuel filter? I doubt it. Fuel filter is most likely located in the fuel tank.

So I use this funnel and pour my gas through it then put this gas smelling funnel in my cab? Just waisted half a can of a additive not knowing about the second flap. Not impressed.

Stupid idea. My truck has a engine light code that tell them it's in the gas filler. No they want $338 dollars to fix. Engineering disaster

The spring door inside broke off. Any idea how to remove the ring shroud holding it on?

I am searching for how to fill my tank without it cutting off over and over. I am sure there’s a trick to getting the two doors to open properly but there is nothing in the manual and I am sick of taking twenty minutes to fill my tank. I am so frustrated

My issue is people pouring water or sugar water in someone's tank, I know, I have seen them do it and had to call the authorities on them, but then the damage is already costly, don't say it can't be done. GM needs to furnish a lock.

The capless gas fill. They are absolutely terrible. After a recent rain I opened the fuel door and observed water pooled on top of the trap door. I had to blot it out with a dry paper towel trying not to push against the trap door. There is no telling how much water has penetrated the trap door.

How does that work with emissions testing? Don’t they have to test the gas cap?

What about when somebody puts sugar or dirt inside your gas cap? Are we supposed to have a vacuum cleaner ready to suck it out and that's even if we catch it before we stick the fuel nozzle in there. Whichever engineer came up with this idea at Chevy and whomever approved it should be fired and all his stock seized. Chevy you really jump the shark on this one.

Just wait till you try and add a fuel additive, recommended at every oil change, plastic bottle opens the first spring loaded cap, but not long enough to open the second, and the mess created is unbelievable, so where do I carry the foot long funnel?

AC delco makes one it's called a fuel plug lock nothing else works on them I have 1 as well
