Yes that is me! I was blessed with a sewing machine from mom who received it for a wedding gift in 1978. I totally need this and can’t wait.

That is me...I received a sewing machine in 2002 as a birthday gift. Have barely touched it since. I have big hopes and dreams to create vintage 1950s garments made from modern athletic fabrics....I am so excited about this course!

Well dear, It is 5/23/2023. I so hope this course is still here, I am 63 years young and haven't sown since I was 9. It sounds so perfect. ❤❤

I learned to sew back when I was age 10 or so, made a few things. I sewed a few garments but I was never confident they looked the absolute best imo. I moved to mending my previous husband's work clothes and other items as a young wife and mommy. In 2006 I taught myself how to make quilts and have made several. I do enjoy that creative outlet very much. This catches me up to present day...I want to relearn how to sew garments the right way and with your Course, Anita, I am confident I will be most successful! I have a gorgeous sewing machine my husband gifted me with back in 2014 for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. It's a Husquarna Dreamer 9.0 series. :) So looking forward to learning from you the right way to make garments!

When you said making clothes that fit you specifically, I was like THATS ME!!! I have a sewing machine and serger, but I never learned to use the serger so... there’s some concern I have. I went to fashion school, but I still didn’t learn what I wanted. Even though it’s for beginners, I’m still interested. I have watched your videos and I love the way you teach. You know what you’re talking about and just have a soothing voice (aka great bedside manner) which is important to me. I’m also gonna pass this along to one of my older sisters since she has my older sewing machine and would be considered an extreme beginner. THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME!!!

Thank you SO MUCH Anita!! “That’s me! 😄” I have been watching your videos since I haven’t been able to get with my sewing teacher due to COVID restrictions. I have successfully made 3 of your skirts and completed other projects by using your techniques. I love the way you explain everything so simply and thoroughly! But I still feel very much like a beginner so I would love to see and hear more tips from you through this beginners course ❤️

Signed on to fill in the gaps! Telling my story in case helps others with moderate to advanced beginner level sewing- but feel not progressing. It may not be that you are terrible at sewing, just that you have knowledge gaps that keep you from progressing. This course seems comprehensive, organized, detailed, and putting it all together in one place. Anita states she has improved on earlier videos (the sign of a true excellent educator). I too find her an amazing instructor!
Assuming the simplest thing we don't know, and both lighting and camera angles are very clear. Very excited about a FITTED t-shirt too! I also hope for machine installed buttons and holes, fit, and how to PDF patterns.
A few years ago I took a several local garment sew courses, and sewed items not interested in like pajama bottoms and a tunic.
I own amazing BL machines, and lots of tools. But, with demanding career and life interruptions took courses sporatically. I have memberships to Craftsy and others, but feel that I missed a few steps, as one can't progress if missing something basic. I make something and never fits correctly. Most courses teach how to make bigger in hips or waist but NEVER smaller, same with necklines and shoulders- the worst in pattern fitting. I get frustrated and feel incompetent, and hate the waste of time and money. If that is you too, then maybe we belong here. We have invested in great tools, fabric, machines and a great pattern collection lol, but not progressing.

Followed you for a while and am a very abled sewist. That said, thank you for having this AHA moment, so many did not have the privilege of home ec in school and are missing out on a legacy. God has blessed you with the great gift of teaching and I know he came into your heart to share your sewing knowledge.

Yaaaasss! That's me! Can't wait for this course so my sewing machine and serger can stop sitting in my closet, silently mocking me for the lack of use! 🤣

Also would love to learn so I can make some garments for my son.

This is so exciting! Thanks for creating this course!

I'm doing my utmost to teach myself through youtube. Went to a sewing class and absolutely no attention was given to me 😞. I'm proud of myself of what I've made thus far ( not perfect but fits my boys and myself ☺️). Thank you for your videos. All the way from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹.

It's wonderful that you're doing a sewing course of 'basics' for sewers who are beginners. Courses like that can be beneficial and prevent sewers from making basic mistakes that make their sewing garments look home-made.
