Bleeding while Passing stools, this is a very important question and almost all of us must know the basics of it, because there is a concept that any bleeding while passing stools, it is caused by heat. So there is a concept that it is the heat that is causing this. So it should be not be neglected. Bleeding from anywhere in the body has to be investigated, especially in the rectum, when they pass motion, there will be bleeding. There may be different varieties of bleeding there might be drops of blood, there might be streaks of blood or clots of blood coming out and there can be mixed with stools. So each has its own significance. They indicate different sort of diseases. Any bleeding from rectum has to be diagnosed and the commonest reasons for this is either piles or hemorrhoids or fissure but occasionally we see caners. So this is a very important thing and it should not be neglected or delayed, thinking it is because of heat. Just get it examined properly by a surgeon or by a gastroenterologist or a proctologist. We normally do a video rectoscopy and a digital rectal examination for that purpose. It is very important.
