@Vinay Prasad Please help and explain 1 thing to me.
In Stage 4 Prostate Cancer (determined by Biopsy) that has not spread to the Testes or Bones, even with surgically removing the entire Prostate gland, why is the 5 year survival rate only 30% ??
Lab shows PSA at 14
Are there any newer treatments (in the past 5 years)? Or is the best treatment Radiation and Chemo ?

@Vinay Prasad sorry I asked more than 1 question but I MUST know this also, so far my husband has only dealt with a Urologist for Stage 4 Prostate Cancer, were waiting for the results of PET Scan later this week, shouldn't he be referred to an Oncologist at some point? If so, when?
