The special skill on the piercing light can actually take away the defence buff of some colossi.

I think the idea is that piercing light is a must have for certain bosses to be able to do good damage, and afterglow is peak dps. So some bosses you can have a four stack of afterglows, and others you have one piercing light to support three afterglows

I was debating these guns back and forth as well… but as a main gley for bossing I feel like I have to do piercing light as once you activate gleys ultimate damage it disables the ultimate skill on the weapon and just steals stats so even tho I would get more use in long run from afterglow sword for all characters as it’s basically universal … for gley ultimate specific build piercing light just does way better 😅

Afterglow can get 100% crit chance and has more crit damage, which is why it's better
Edit : nevermind, I forgot colossus have crit resistance so afterglow is only better as long as it crits because higher crit damages, and piercing light can get the same crit chance as afterglow with enzo's transcendant mod

Yes they have the exact same mods but that's kind of irrelevant because of their unique ability. Afterglow increases critical hit rate while piercing light increase its critical hit damage I think... So depending on what mods you have on for whatever build you're using at the time we'll have a major impact on which one you're going to

Thanks for your comparison! I grinded for afterglow sword first because I love those crit rate, but I’m definitely going to put some effort for piercing light too!

Hello there, thanks for the comparison video on this. Was thinking of which one to build and decided to go with afterglow instead as I only want to invest in one sniper. PL can hit higher numbers and seem to work very well with Sharen's buffs, however afterglow is more versatile due to higher crit rate.

Getting this sniper is a F#$kin nightmare!!!! The first 2 parts are easy drop at 32% but the other 2 parts are 20%but it a lie because you gonna stuck getting the 32% items every time. It's Like winning the f%^kin lottery if you get lucky enough to get the parts. The third part you have to use sharen to do infiltration outpost and people will ruin it for you. Soloing out post with shared is suicide, bring a friend to help or you will rage quit. Sharen is f#$kin weak. You will have to invest a lot crystallization catalyst into her before you do these infiltration outpost, or bring a friend to help out. The last one we'll youbhave to kill bosses to collect the amorphous material patterns and then kill bosses in hard to open the material and gamble it shi%t good luck it's sitting at 20 % chances of getting that is also Like winning the f%^kin The last 2 parts the worst to get and base by luck people so grind grind and grind.🙄😒 and cry cry and cry and rage quit. Getting the first set is tough already but sh^t getting 4 more duplicate will rage you quit, unless your a hacker who increase the drop rate at 100% and get ban be my guess lmao 🤣. Like I say getting this sniper to max out ability is a nightmare. I say I didn't warn you all, it's a fu$kin nightmare.😡🤬😒

been working on maxing my PL with sharen, still need to forma like 3 more times, but currently can hit like 5 mil pretty consistent even without overcharged edge. (2 catalysts in so far)
