I'll never forget how I once recommended micellar water to a friend. The next time she came over right after work she was like 'do you mind if I use use your bathroom to remove my makeup? I don't like keeping it on after work.' I was like sure you can use my cotton rounds and micellar water'and then she beams at me 'oh I bought my own after you recommended it' and pulls a massive package of micellar WIPES from her bags. I nearly fainted 😂

Guilty of all in the past. Glad to see the back of them and so is my skin. My skin is looking it’s best at 46. Affordable good skin care has made it available to everyone which I love.

Great "tell all" video! I certainly did a lot of terrible things to my face as a teen, but I like to think we didn't know any better. All the drying astringents, the walnut scrub and, yes, the original Biore blackhead strips! Ugh, it's amazing I have any skin left after all the abuse I put it through.

Youtubers have gotten so disappointing with all the sponsors making it confusing for new viewers to know what's right thank you for speaking your opinion and being so genuine. ❤ No way I'm getting a vaccum on my face!

I didn't know to emulsify my balm cleanser when I first started double cleansing but now I know it's absolutely essential. Great point! My favourite first cleanse is the Banila Co Clean it Zero cleansing balm due to it's effectiveness and affordability.

Between you, Hyram, and James, my skin is looking awesome! Just this morning I looked in the mirror and thought "Where did that glow come from????" Then I looked at my skincare shelf - TO and Hylamide (and my fave Strivectin)all the way across. NIOD was going to be next, but I have to buy a new fridge. SO unfair! 😣

I’m 29 and I just started doing skincare 2 months ago. I feel so bad and guilty because I used to wash my dry skin with soap and hot water and harsh scrub 3 times a week and never used sunscreen in my life. I really didn’t know how bad it was and I’m so afraid to have ruined my face. I’ve had fine lines for years and my skin is sooo dry. I hope I can fix it now or forever be regretful for not caring 😩

I have to admit that I still use the simple clear pore scrub occasionally, maybe once a fortnight, and I’m very gentle when I use it. It’s a better alternative to any walnut scrub or scrub with plastic beads though. I now use the st Ives scrub that my mum bought me on my legs before I shave rather than on my face as she suggested.

Guilty! thanks for the reminder about TO cleanser. I must remember to emulsify for 30 seconds before rinsing off. Cheers ~ P

I'm guilty of using scrubs and makeup wipes in the past. But now I'm relying on chemical exfoliation and cleansing balm instead 😊 I just wish I knew more about skin care when I was younger (because I wasn't very gentle on my skin then) 😩

Definitely made a few of those (scrubs and strips at minimum), but going through teenage years in the 90's and early 00's public use of the internet was still in it's infancy and the only advice you could really get was from beauticians or dermatologists and the range was not that huge (Clean and Clear, St Ives, Biore etc) compared to what's available now. I don't know how many hundreds of dollars I've wasted over the years on things that just didn't work... only discovering NOW at the ripe old age of 37 that the reason why my cleansers never got rid of my acne even after months of use was they were physical exfoliants that I was told to use daily and my skin was rebelling against the harsh treatment it was getting all the time.
How times have changed.

I kept telling my friend she needs a sunscreen, especially as she’s moved to Australia... she couldn’t wait to tell me she got one, when I asked her what it was she said a moisturiser with SPF 15 !! I almost fainted 😨 how do you get your friends to listen !! 😂 xx

So true! Also the makeup wipes create unnecessary waste, same with disposable cotton pads
Btw, and a bit off topic, I recently bought reusable organic cotton pads from Face Theory which work very nicely and you can put in the washing 😄

Hey hun, how are you doing? Always looking forward to your videos, love how frequent they're getting, keep up coming 💕
For SPF I'm using the Dear Klairs UV Essence on my cheeks & neck and the Dear Klairs Blue UV Shield on my super oily T zone and some days a week I use the Hylamide pore control in the AM for oil control.

I still use the a biore cleanser almost everynight, and their pore strip about once a month...oops, but it works for me and one of the st. ives scrubs once a month or once every two months, but don't worry, I'm always super gentle with it and I'm only using it because i don't want to just throw it away

I just have one question, and that is, how much of each of my serums should I be using? I apply them like you do, dropping them into the palm of my hand then dotting them on the face and patting it in. But, I do think I tend to use more than a few drops. (Except for my exfoliator and retinol... I'm super careful with those!) I would love to see a tutorial on how you apply your products!
