Princess Margret gave them the best advice before the wedding, "How many times can this family make the same mistake."

Elizabeth Debicki was the best portrayal of Diana, imo although both were good. She really nailed the facial expressions and mannerisms

My goodness - I remember I was driving north to Manchester when John Major made the announcement on the radio. It wasn't exactly a surprise. But somehow it was still a shock. Strange the memories that stick in your head...

The title is wrong--it's an announcement of their separation, not divorce.

This plays in late ´92 when the separating was announced. At that time it was said, that a divorce would not happen. But after the following turbulent years including both giving public interviews the Queen orderd the divorce in Dec 95 and it was finalised in August 96.

Separation, not divorce. The clip literally says they have no plans to divorce.

She gave her kids a lot of passes. I wish she would've given that grace to her sister.

She finally was able to close her curtains which was a battle for her . All she wanted was a little bit of privacy, but she was constantly harassed never to close her curtains because people might think that she was hiding something.

Eliazbeth Debicki did her best to give a good interpretation of an older Diana, but it is impossible to emulate the beauty and charisma that she radiated.

On the other hand, it is true that Dominic West is too handsome to play Charles, but what other alternative did they have? ... Cast Nicolas Cage and put him in makeup like Dracula with Dumbo ears so that he perfectly reflected Charles inside and out.

It is the best decision that they both made, they were wrong for each other. And you guys made them get married despite of the fact that Charles loved Camilla, The Queen shouldn't be surprised by any of this!

I hate to say this, but Charles parents were perfectly aware that he loved someone else. I believe Charles did love Diana at some point but he wasn't in love with her.

If only Charles had had the backbone to stand up to his mummy and daddy.

All that conniving on the part of Lord Louis Mountbatten and Charles'/Diana's grandmothers. Where did it get either Charles or Diana?

There is a very good reason that throughout history most royal men were usually encouraged to marry while young, a young princess
and to BREED LEGALLY--RECOGNIZED CHILDREN (not bastards). It was to keep the monarchy intact.

You can all say what you like. I'm glad diana screwed around in the end. I reckon it was the only real in that ...thing you all call a marriage. Imagine pretending you were in love with each other when he loved another and she was adored by others?
