“It is a point to remember that of all the ironies about Diana, perhaps the greatest was this - a girl given the name of the ancient goddess of hunting was, in the end, the most hunted person of the modern age.” - Earl Spencer

"formality prevented them from crying loudly at their mum's funeral". This has always shocked me a lot...they even weren't allowed to cry after their mother's loss, so sad and unfair, poor boys

I'm so glad Diana had the love of her sons, friends, siblings and the public. The love of her sons, friends, and the public seemed the most pure, true, and consistent. Besides a few I don't think many members of the RF grieved for her, they clearly never and still do not understand her and what made her the Queen of Hearts. She was above all of them.

I met her …she shook my hand and after a long day in Toronto, exhausted, asked me “ don’t you people ever go to sleep ? “ …lol ….she seemed so down to earth ❤

My husband, half British and birthed in England, burst into tears randomly for a week following her death. I was only 22 at the time and didn't necessarily understand, but as it turned out, she represented a lot of things to him. He was 32 then and had lived through more of the AIDS crisis than I. Her outreach toward those dying and sick made a huge impression on him. I miss him dearly and he would be missing to this day. ❤

Diana was a true humanitarian. She didn’t do it for the camera or to be “woke!” She was the real deal. That’s why even today everyone still mourns her and misses her genuine presence. Rest In Peace Queen.

I remember being up in the middle of the night to give my daughter a bottle and seeing the news break..shocking and sad. She was amazing and the royal family didn't deserve her

I stayed up all night and watch the TV for 6 hours the day of her funeral. I honestly have never cried for anyone as much as I cried over Diana's passing. After those 6 hours
my eyes were so swollen that I looked like someone who had an allergic reaction to a spider bite. I don't really know why Diana's death hit me so hard. Maybe because my name is Diane, and I had endured a loveless marriage for 15 years, it seemed like I understood her sadness. Her death was a real shock to me back then.

No other women like her in the 20th century and maybe in the history of mankind… she left a massive legacy bigger than the world itself 🙏🏼🕊

My heart went out to William and Harry having to walk behind their mother’s coffin for two and half miles . Those boys had to share their grief in public for the world to see.
Princess Diana was a truly remarkable person. Queen of our ♥️‘s🙏🇬🇧

At the end of all of this, we must all look forward to the royal legacy she left behind. She will live on in her descendants and that’s how we will remember her. She is the mother and grandmother of Kings and who knows/future Queens. Something Camilla will never have or take away. Diana is alive and well in hers sons.

Pavorotti is such a strong man & to see him & his wife absolutely broken like that shows how much everyone truly cared for her.

Such a sad loss of a beautiful young woman. She had so much to live for, taken too soon.
I am sure if she were alive today, Prince William and Prince Harry would not be at war with each other.
And she still covers front pages of magazines.
She will never be forgotten and will remain The People’s Princess.

Sarah Fergusons face just speaks volumes, doesn't it?
It's the kind of shock you feel when you're told or think something will likely happen, so you're are stunned when it ACTUALLY does. It's almost like she's thinking, " My God, they did actually cause her death."
Diana told us she'd be killed exactly how she was. This isn't the first "accident" to befall a person of interest full of secrets and information, it certainly won't be the last.
I remember ALL the wonderful acts of compassion and kindness she bestowed on the world. I know that's how she'd want to be honored. She was a radiant light, extinguished to soon. ❤
