TRIP REPORT | A Perfect Flight over the Andes! | LATAM Boeing 787 | Bogota to Buenos Aires (via SCL)

LATAM Trip Report flying from Bogotá to Buenos Aires (connecting at Santiago de Chile), in business class and premium economy, on a beautiful early-spring day.

An amazing trip from Bogotá to Buenos Aires (via Santiago de Chile) on the LATAM Business Class and Premium Economy. This Boeing 787, which is ready for much longer flights, offered an amazing comfort in this one accross South-America.

We arrived very early to Bogotá airport with the intention of make some expliration, planespotting and have some time to enjoy the LATAM Business Lounge. Our Boeing 787 arrived on time from Santiago de Chile so we were able to depart as well on time. The views of Bogotá and all the mountains surounding it were amazing. Initially we flew southbound, crossing all Colombia flying towards Quito (Ecuador).

Over Guayaquil (Ecuador) we made a left turn and set course towards Peru. Usually this flight overflyes the Pacific from Guayaquil until Chile. This time it wasn't the case so we could enjoy the landscapes of Peru before entering the Pacific. We the flew over the Ocean until we finally entered Chile just prior to our descent and land in Santiago. After a beautiful approach, we landed on time at Santiago de Chile airport.

The connection, although we didn't have much time, was doable. Being the first to disembark de plane travelling in business certainly helped. After some quick views of Santiago airport, we boarded the LATAM A321 that would take us across the Andes to Buenos Aires.

The flight was even better than what I imagined. We crossed the Andes without a single cloud and with perfect visibility. The views were just incredible. The cliffs, the rocks, the snow... everything makes an incredibly beautiful and terrific landscape. The rest of the flight was pretty standard, with particular mention of the beautiful approach to Buenos Aires Ezeiza airport, where we landed on time.

About the onboard service, on the first flight, they served breakfast. And what a breakfast! One of the best so far on any flight. Fruit, a warm meal, lots of bread and croissants, and a very good dessert. Good quantity and good taste. Before landing they even served a pre-landing snack, made by a warm sandwich, crips, and drinks. On the second flight, in Premium Economy, they served a warm sandwich, with crisps and a very well elaborated dessert. All in all an incredible service. Very nice job LATAM. They are at the top for me.

It's great to finally see you flying in South America! And honestly, I think this video was a great "introduction" to flying in the area. Business Class, from one end of the continent to the other, and overflying the iconic Andes. Speaking of which, wow! The best part of the video was easily the climb from SCL, but to be fair, both flights were really scenic. Great video!! 👏
