Is the Mitsubishi Pajero still a worthwhile new-car purchase? We speak to Andy, who has owned (multiple Mitsubishis, including) a Pajero for the past three years to get his honest insights and recommendations.

Andy drives the top-of-line Pajero Exceed, which includes creature comforts like electronic sunroof, leather seats, and a Rockford Fosgate sound system.

I have a 2019 Pajero Sport and I really love it I the Pajero looks like a more off road serious rig. They’re both great value for money!

Regarding the 3rd row squeeze test... to be fair this was the first seven seat SUV in recent memory where my head did not hit the roof thanks to the roomy cabin. What let it down was the limited legroom as the 2nd row seats cannot be slid forward. Good for kids and smaller adults. Cheers, Jono (OwnerDrive)

Add a throttle controller which will fix the "lag" problem. Add a Steinbauer to increase power up to 20% for towing and economy. I have a 2013 NW Exceed with 185, 000 Klm's and love it.

There will be no more cars like this (((The car was made by engineers. And now new ones are made by marketers.

I have the same gen Paje, I meam the 4th gen model😉

I still love its diesel engine sound and I prefer its old school 4x4 style like a sspare tyre on back door to modern cross over style we often see nowadays.

I have mitsubishi pajero 1989, we are first owners and still like new car, still each and every single thing is almost stock, sealed engine yet, I weakly drives it. When I want to go to everywhere just start in first and go, like a new car, don't open bonut and see the oil or coolant, peace of mind and go far and far

Hello, I am a little surprised by the criticism you make on the Mitsubishi Pajero!! I have one from 2007 And frankly it's heavy duty, it goes everywhere, pulls tractor trailers and it doesn't flinch... For my part it's a great vehicle and much cheaper than the competition in terms of parts. .. The mechanics remain simple even for a novice! It is super comfortable and can cover the miles without flinching.I don't understand, you seem to have had a lot of 4x4s and yet you buy a Pajero and you seem to hate it!! .. 🤔

I bought a Pajero 2019 model and was tossing up with the Prado. I can tell you in terms of value for money the Pajero kills it. Huge space, comfortable tourer, great off road and incredibly reliable. My only pet hate is the monocoque chassis, almost zero articulation off road. Other than that, exceptional car!

The only thing that i regret while buying my pajero is i didn't insist chasing the exceed. I really need that sunroof. When offroad the sunroof will release a lot noises and make the cabine much quieter. I am thinking about get a aftermarket sunroof.
