It’s much quicker then this. At the depts they were at, the implosion lasted 30 milliseconds and the submarine heated to the temperature of the SUN. They died so quickly they probably didn’t even have time to fathom what happened. One second they were there, the next they aren’t, they basically just disappeared.

For experimental purposes, a replica of the OG Titan should be built and sent down for testing. This time have cameras close by to see what happens, but without any human beings inside. Collect the data, then come to a conclusion on what might have happened.
