Imagine popping a balloon with a pin. That’s how quick it’s over.

Actually not much like that. It's much quicker since it's very very deep, it's like just a millisecond. So they won't feel pain

Honestly a better death than running out of oxygen

Basically the weight of the entire ocean crushing you from every angle

1989s The Abyss directed by James Cameron. A sci-fi classic.

It’s much quicker then this. At the depts they were at, the implosion lasted 30 milliseconds and the submarine heated to the temperature of the SUN. They died so quickly they probably didn’t even have time to fathom what happened. One second they were there, the next they aren’t, they basically just disappeared.

The fact that they were instantly turned into red mist scared me

The actual dying part is not that bad because you instantly die but the worst part is probably the fear of what is gonna happen

it was at 6.500 psi (pressure for those unfamiliar) = their body AND ORGANS EXPLODED FROM THE INSIDE IN LESS THAN 1 SEC. not really sure what they have felt but for sure the emotion before death is more painful than the death it self

Died in 20 milliseconds. 5x faster than the blink of an aye

Man not like i wanna see the exact implosion but i would really like to see what would actually happen at that depth its kinda fascinating..

All this back and forth about what really happened doesn't mean anything. The only thing we know is that they're gone - just like that. For experimental purposes, a replica of the OG Titan should be built and sent down for testing. This time have cameras close by to see what happens, but without any human beings inside. Collect the data, then come to a conclusion on what might have happened.

Since this movie called "The Abyss (1989)" is on the top of the screen, the speed and violence of the submarine is quick, so no chance of survival on implosion is given. When the hull of the submarine heats up the air, the cold water pressure can lower the submarine's pressure from like 20 atmospheres to 1 in just less than a second.

The implosion of the titan had the force of 50 kg of TNT, and lasted 20 milliseconds, The pain response time of the human brain is 150 milliseconds, meaning they felt absolutely nothing.

While the moments up to this might have been absolutely terrifying, the actual event would of been quicker than a bullet to the brain.

Can anyone explain why there were such big pieces of the Titan raised from the sea floor? Everyone confidently said the sub and people would be mist. Thank you

glass wouldn’t slowly crack it would just squish

It was less than a millisecond, so it was an instant lights out.

For example, it takes the body about 100 ms to experience pain and it takes the eyes 30 ms to take it visually. This submarine implosion happened in 1 ms.
