This is actually not too bad. And of course if you are a maintenance technician the maintenance costs will also be lower.

4:09 you mentioned that the tyres need changing every 150 hours. Is this just down to the flying you do or the tyres themselves? How many landings would that include?
My only comparison is in my clubs planes which all mostly land on grass, so after 500 hours, the clubs oldest plane, the tyres have just worn away the little moulding strip down the middle.

Thanks for the video was very informative👍. I’m in matric and wanting to do my PPL at Stellenbosch flying club but have a goal in mind of flying commercially for the big airlines like emirates and such. Any tips on what I need to focus on to get my CPL after my PPL but haven’t even started training yet? I have seen prices and understand it gets quite pricey especially for your CPL but was considering going to the UK after doing my PPL as I hold a British passport so can have citizenship, then looking for government funding over there for my CPL... let me know what you think and maybe some things I need to focus on before beginning my PPL training since I’m still in highschool.
