Fun fact: The first time Arwen and Aragorn met, it was in the forest near Rivendell. She barely noticed him, but he was completely lovestruck. She started to fall in love with him when he stayed in Lórien, dressed in Elvish clothes, as a guest of Galadriel and Celeborn.

Here, he says, "I thought I had strayed into a dream, " meaning the first time he saw her, he thought she was Lúthien Tinúviel (famed for her beauty, who was Arwen's great grandmother, who also chose mortality for the love of her future husband).

I love that the first scene is included so we can remember that Aragorn has his insecurities and love Arwen so much that he allows Arwen to look at his insecurities and let her comfort him. I love how Tolkien portrays love.

I'm the type of guy who isn't big on romantic scenes, but Peter Jackson perfectly captured this, to the point of yearning. The soft, subtle choir in the background, the gentle lull of the waterfall as it tumbles down the rocks, the moonlight illuminating the two... It fills me with a sense of emptiness that I don't have this in my life, and probably won't for a long, long while.
