I had a friend whose dad graduated from Yale with a degree in fine arts. He was super talented, but supported his family with commercial art. He spent a lot of his professional life working “filler” jobs making filler, but he never stopped engaging with color, line, and viewer.
Kind of like the way he was a dad: whatever his dreams were for his kids, he spent his days with his family doing the little dad stuff well. At his funeral, people from all different sides of his life collectively realized that he had done a really great job at life and being human.
So go look for the clip artists in your life and give them a pat on the back.
RIP, Damon. You were a great person.

Almoast every time I hear one of your songs for the first time, I'm like, "Yeah, this is probably my favorite Louie Zong song, " and this is no exception! Something about this music video is so asthetically pleasing. Compare that with the beautiful song, and you've got something really special. 100/10

the way the fish illustrations sort of pulse and groove as they switch around makes me think of that "All Creative Work is Derivative" video from a while back. really beautiful stuff, as always!

What a wonderful, thoughtful, and touching artistic composition. I've seen a lot of art and music try and capture this feeling, but relatively few do, and this is one.

This., made me cry, I’m not sure why. But it amazes me how human we all truly are.

Louie Zong continues to be the king of picking up something new and nailing it on the first try. Love this.

Oh my This is The Books!!! The Books are my favorite music act of all time, & this song is very much coated with their influences. Every year your music just gets better and better. Keep up the good work!

Probably my favorite piece of yours. Delightfully intimate and touching.

The first time I encountered Louie Zong’s music was Lament for a Lonely Cubone on a random Tumblr page. That has always been a key piece of internet ephemera for me, especially as it becomes harder and harder to find.

This has those same vibes. Thank you for creating ❤

Everything you make is so fucking cool Louie. I’ve been following your work for a long time and you are such an inspiration to me. I hope one day my own work has even a fraction of the impact yours does. ❤

The little “un dun duns” really make this already amazing track.
