I don't think it's about a "tan" really, but more of a healthy warm undertone to the skin. This video is needlessly condescending.

I love the science talk! Please don't ever stop educating us.

I completely disagree. People who regularly juice carrots have amazing glowing skin! They definitely look tan with a little bit of an orange tone. They look vibrant and healthy!

This yellow- orange skin happened to a friend of mine by accident when she was eating too many carrots for awhile. She panicked thinking it was a liver problem! Funny that its now a trend. She was fascinated that you could turn yourself orange once she found out what it was.

If you're really into poorly applied orange fake tan or looking like a liver disease patient, I suppose it "works."

So, title is clickbait and TikTok hasn’t lost it, and in fact it will change your skin color.

I remember in the 90’s my aunt was very into juicing and drank huge amounts of carrot juice everyday. She did eventually get a yellow-orange color to her skin, as you said, most notably on her palms. It was definitely not a tan color and not a look she was going for. She’s a redhead with a fair completion which made it stand out even more.

You see this in babies who eat a lot of carrots 🥕 I once asked my friend who had a little baby why he looked "tan"! 😂

My husband has a disorder that impacts his bilirubin count, so eating too many carrots can actually cause his skin color to change. But this is essentially jaundice, not a tan...

It really works and looks good. I drank for the last three’s month almost daily carrot juice. I didn’t notice anything but then I took pictures with some girlfriends and usually we have the same skin complexion but now mine seems more tanned. And now I see it better especially on my face…

There is a study that found people with the slight “orange glow” are perceived as more healthy and attractive. However, that’s the amount you get just from having fresh vegetables in the diet. I guess that explains why the kids who only eat potato chips, look flat and sickly.

If that’s you, eating 3 raw carrots a day is actually excellent beauty advice! lol

I can't believe it but this made me crave a carrot 🤣 but social media has an enormous power on people's behaviour, thank you for utilizing it in a benevolent way

I disagree. Having known people who have done this for real, it does show as a healthy looking glow and it doesn't look strange at all.

I love juicing for the glow. You could try it. Might help.

When I was young there was a tan tablet available over the counter. That offered a faint orange ‘glow’🤮

I refuse to even install that app, I’ll hold on to my brain cells. Happy Tuesday!

Spinach, sweet potato, bell peppers (any color), etc...just eat wfpb and you will look better. Diversify what you eat, not just carrots.
