Can the Ryzen 7 7700X play AAA Games without a graphics card? Let's Find Out.
In this video, we test out all new Ryzen 7000 RDNA iGPU packing only 2Cus and a clock up to 2200MHz I was very interested to see what kind of games these integrated graphics can handle. we paired the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X with 32GB of DDR5 running at 6400Mhz

WHat else do you want to see running on these new Integrated graphics?

I expect AMD to release '7000G' series APUs in the future. I think they are incorporating the 2CU Graphics to allow these chips to be used in office computers by OEMs. The fact that 2CUs can do this much though shows just how potent RDNA2 is.

I'm glad that AMD added iGPUs on most of their CPUs. At least with this, someone can build a decent PC without the need for a graphics card, and then can add a graphics card a few months later.

These are definitely not APUs and AMD made that point clear. This iGPU is just for basic video output which helps in troubleshooting and makes business PCs cheaper.

To people wondering why this iGPU is weaker than 5600 G and 5700 G iGPU, its because it's only meant to be used as display output if your dedicated GPU has a problem. So many people are saying in the comments that they expected a lot more, but guys wait for the G series if you plan on iGPU gaming.

What nobody mentioned but actually is REALLY helpful: All Ryzen 7000 series iGPUs have AV1 en- & decoding. You can basically use the GPU to play and the inbuilt iGPU to perform the streaming.

I am very impressed with how well the igpu did. Can't wait to see what the 7600g does.

This says a lot for RDNA2. Only 2 CUs and not totally terrible.

I think it's really handy to have igp on board for trouble shooting. You can pull your graphics card and see if the board, cpu, power supply, memory all work.

The Mobile 7000 series are the ones to actually watch out for since the 6000 series are confirmed to do great.

It's interesting how these chippies with just 2 compute units for graphics are still producing half the synthetic performance. A quarter the sand but half the performance looks very impressive from a technical point of view. I hope this means that the 8 (or more) CU APUs will be between 25 and 50% faster in graphics alone when compared with Vega 8.

Wish the motherboards and DDR5 didn't cost an arm and a leg.

I'm interested on how far you can overclock it. From other 6nm RDNA2 I imagine at least 3ghz should be possible, and as I imagine it isn't bottlenecked by memory, it would mean almost 50% boost in speed. I would also like to see how it runs on cheaper memory, like 5600MHz, and on linux, for both proton and emulators.

An RDNA2 APU might just be the core of my next build. Really impressive performance here for just 2 CU’s.

Thanks ETA for making this video. I was pondering about installing two gpus in my new 7950x linux system to pass through a gpu to my VM's and now I see I won't have to. I can just use the built in igpu on the host for just basic desktop usage, damn Muta corrupted me on VM's and security.

Those who use GPU-Passthrough sure will love these new CPUs also.
It's the reason I went with the 5600G over the 5600X actually.

RDNA2 APU's are going to be monsters man this is only 2CU should tune with Hydra and see the results

Overall an interesting video. Really interesting how well 2x RDNA2 cores work.

That 5700G Night Raid score looks a little low.

I have a benchmark run on my stock 5600G (no longer own) from Dec 2022 using 2x16GB DR Micron E-Die 3200MT/s C16 @XMP timings getting 16812.

With a little CPU/iGPU OC, mild memory OC to 3266 on different (worse) 4x8GB SR SK-Hynix A or M Die (won't even POST at 3333 no matter what voltage I use) with semi-tuned timings I was able to get 18199.

impressive! if with just 2 graphics engines you can do that, imagine when the most powerful APUS will be released? It will displace many input video cards!😱

Great to see you tested this, it was one of the things I was really looking forward to.
Too bad you didn't have a 2200G or 2400G, would have loved to see a versus against AMD's first Ryzen APUs. From what I can tell, the measly little 128 RDNA2 stream processors in these chips are roughly equal to the 2200G (and the UHD Intel ones in their modern CPUs... when their druvers work) and faster than their old entry level 3000G and such ones. Overall not to bad, considering what it is.

BTW looks like for desktop (AM5), we'll have to wait for Q3 2023 for a direct succesor to 5700G and the likes. By the looks of it, it will be Phoenix Point/RDNA3/Zen4 based, so skipping Rembrandt.
