Great review. It's still impressive to see how ahead of their time Bose was when they were designing the NC700 because out of all headphones on the market, they genuinely look the most premium and modern.

I returned the M5 because the ear cups were to big for my ears and kept needing to adjust fit. Purchased the Bose 700, the sound quality is amazing

Only if they would make them more spacious inside the cup. Sony has huge chunky cups, but so little space inside... why?!

Hard decision I have both now, I can’t see much difference both models are very good .

I believe that everyone is just star struck with sense of newness as it pertains to the Sony's. I had an opportunity to test them both, and Bose still runs laps around Sony. Even with a 2 year old pair of headphones, Sony doesn't come close.

I heard both of them and I cant decide which one will choose.... I noticed the Bose 700 when it gets old... the leather will torn out small part at the side of the cap.. .. i like the bass on 700 but the mic and ANC in xm5 is superb

Bose is the better choice here. I went with NC700. More pleasant sound at lower volume, less bass, better price.

I had an XM3 it was comfortable, but i needed time to get used to it. I skipped the XM4, and now have the XM5, which is the most uncomfortable headphone i ever bought, because my head is small, and the pads are resting on my ears. Because of this sound leaks in, ANC doesnt work well, the only way i can enjoy the headphone is when i am using a pad between my head and the headband, it just looks silly... Cant go to the streets with it, but at least it works

The ANC is good, ambient is much better than on the XM3, but when i talk it feels a little like when a robot speaks? If that makes any sense.

I tried the Airpods Max and Bose 700, also Bose qc 45. The latter was also to big, but the Airpods Max and Bose 700 where just my size on the lowest setting.

Soundwise i felt the Bose had more highs, it was a sample track in a market so it was good, probably selected for this brand.

I am considering switching to Bose, because the Airpods Max is not the best for android, and has a few flaws which are hard to tolarate. (cant turn off, case is a joke and on android you cant change settings)

I am worried that the ambient is not as good on the Bose, and i like bass. I will probably buy the Bose, and use it for a while, and sell the one i wont be using after a while.

I have them both and like the 5s better because the anc doesn't go off when you call someone. Both black models because i feel the white models stain easily.

Now whats the top product from Bose ? Nc70 or qc35ii or qc45 ?

3 Years back, when i bought the xm1000 mark1, and compared it to bose qc35i i find that sony is more comfortable to wear and dont get that warm over time on the ear.

But my sonys start to fall apart. Still the battery lasts easy 8hrs with anc.

I want to try bose or airpod max.

Best review on youtube. Bose 700 for me. Bose gives you nearly everything at half the price point. I can survive without Sony.
