I mean, not very surprising they’re different, Turkish comes from a family of Turks in central Asia, while Greece is, well, Greek.

The Turkish language belongs to the language family of Altai Turkic languages but borrowed many words from Indo-European languages.

These actually are not false friends. Just some words that happen to have similar phonemes. False friends would be like this " Largo (long) – Large (grande)"(Spanish-English)

Bruh bummer, those are simply random homophones. I really expected something like words that were exchanged during the Ottoman times and now are used differently within both communities. For instance I just today found out that the word for "round" in Turkish is used as the name of a dish in Greek due to the shape of the meatballs (the dish is sulu köfte and is called something like yuvarlaki/yuvarlakis or something in Greece). That's not a "false friend" per se, but you get what I'm saying I hope.

Be careful also about Dolmadakia and Dolma. Dolmadakia is specifically and exclusively filled wine leaves.
