🇹🇷Im from Southern Anatolia. Kurdish origin Turk, For us Turk means our unite, not like an origin. Just like how you feel when you hear irish, germans, british or africans living in America says that ''I'm an American first''. and same expression here, When we say we are Turkish nation and this is our unite idea, it does not mean that we reject our roots. When all ottoman ethnics living in Anatolia says that I'm a part of Turkish nation first, this is same idea as being American nation first. They want to express their unity. We are peaceful people and our unity must be respected. Unfortunately, I see uncivilized comments talking about invading our homeland's west side or east side. These guys saying we are assimilated bla bla.. Sorry but We have not yet assimilated enough to think that we need to divide our homeland into pieces. When we defend the unity of our homeland, there are those who claim that we are assimilated because they do not want to accept this proposition. This can be the weirdest moment in the world. We are interested in glorifying Anatolia. Because we are from here. Turkish nation with its people in both east and west are the only people in the world who is carrying highest anatolian spesific pool genes. So in accordance with the laws and universal values we are subject in our countries; everybody should respect our right to exist as a nation together and our ideas.

The people living in Anatolia are a combination of the Balkan Caucasus, indigenous Anatolian peoples, people from the Middle East and Asia connected. Because of this, The Turkish nation is defined in the 1924 constitution. In this definition, it is stated that "The people of Turkey are called Turks by citizenship, regardless of religion or race." The Turkish state is founded on the principle of peace at home and peace in the world. This is not just about a religion. Turk means our unite today. Not a pure origin. We are a mosaic and we proud of this. Thats why we say how happy who call them self turk first, It is not a genetic criterion. Turkish nation is an expression like Brazillian or American nation and the Turkish nation is a great nation, great culture. Because for us, Anatolia is the place where people united for the first time and became a single nation and decided to do so. Greetings to our neighbors across the sea.

I was born and grew up in Germany before I emigrated to Turkey for good. I had a lot of Greek friends and work colleagues in Germany. Because then we can see that the vast majority of people have nothing against their neighbor. There is a small group of right wing nationalists on both sides, who hate the other country. and some useless populist politicians who like to blame their own failures on the other country. And that is why it can sometimes seem to the world that they all hate each other. But it is fortunately not true.
