Hi. I'm HelloGreedo. I think Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace is the best Star Wars prequel.

I feel calm watching greedo, he just feels like a big brother I can go to when I'm stressed or sad.

Yay! New HelloGreedo video! Every time you remind me we grew up in the same area I wonder what could have been...

In the phantom menace game, I remember hiding in the vents then walking into a fan and getting chopped into pieces. Traumatizing. Lol

I was 16 when The Force Awakens came out, It interesting time to be a Star Wars fan with all the speculation and theories.

I was 8 when TPM was released and it was straight up MADE FOR ME.
I will never forget the lead-up and aftermath of that movie. Walking around the neighborhood with my friends, digging through all our neighbors’ recycling bins searching for Pepsi ONE and Mountain Dew cans to complete our collections. Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut. The POG board promo. Sebulba Kooshs. Those chunky as frick plastic character cup toppers (drinking out of Boss Nass’ head). Annoying my extended family with explanations of how amazing it was that my some of my Star Wars action figures could now swivel their elbows. My Obi-Wan Halloween costume with the clip-on Padawan braid. I can only imagine the odds ‘3PO would list off concerning the chances of that marketing campaign ever being matched by another movie again.

I’ll also never forget how I felt when I heard my cool older cousin make fun of TPM.
I couldn’t understand what was wrong with Jar Jar and podracing, or why he didn’t care that the opee sea killer, colo claw fish, and sando aqua monster were things with names! (The bookfair that year was my introduction to supplementary lore material).

I never want to make another fan feel that way about something they’re excited about, even if I’m unable to match their excitement.

I think there’s value in discussing elements of the fandom that challenge us and I enjoy hearing other people’s point of view, but the conversation doesn’t lead anywhere when people choose to begin and end on “X sucks”.

“Everyone” hated the Ewoks. Then “everyone” hated the Special Editions. Then “everyone” hated the Prequel trilogy. Then “everyone” hated Ahsoka and the Clone Wars. Then “everyone” hated Rebels. Then “everyone” hated the Sequel trilogy. Then “everyone” hated The High Republic.
Time and time again, those people tend to grow up, move on, get bored, or die off. All that remains is how we engage with the story that's presented to us. Love what you love about Star Wars and let others do the same. Keep the fandom luminous. Star Wars is a huge freaking buffet and it just keeps on growing. Load up your plate the way you want, then let the next person in line do the same.
Luke only won once he lowered his blade.

Thanks for this video!

Id go so far to say Episode 1 has made a bigger positive impact compared to episode 7. It was new, fresh, nostalgic. I dont feel the same way about the new trilogy.

The best aspect for me was the fact it was shot on location in Tunisia and Italy on 35mm film, unlike the next two which were much more greenscreen/digital.
Darth Maul.
Yoda doesn't fight.
The podracing.
The freshness.

These movies are such instrumental treats. Scores like Take Off, Droid Battle, Droid Fight, Battleship Destroyed and Duel Of The Fates make the scenes in this movie exciting and memorable. I can say the same for the other two.

Its underappreciated for sure and its the one im most nostalgic about

I'm 30 and I missed the prequel hype because I've never seen SW back then. I discovered them on college and immediately fell in love. I was so hyped for sequels and they blew it, so now I only watch first 6 and rather pretend they're not here

I just started watching the prequels for the first time as an adult instead of relying on memes and a kids perception of a half remembered movie

Vastly better than I expected
Immediately seeing jedi at the height of their power and a young Obi Wan is a brilliant hook. My only real complaints are Jar Jar and Maul having little screen time

I have a longer parahraph review of it, if anyone's interested

I actually *was* 13 when The Force Awakens came out and I still remember walking out of that theatre, my mother asking "Did you think it was good?" and me quietly going "Yeah" while inside my head I was like "What the hell are Disney doing with Star Wars" XD

I was 13 years old when the TFA came out and it was an experience. I felt at that age I could properly appreciate story beats, the music & such alongside the childhood nostalgia. Now that I am 18, I fully recognize the things I like or dislike about each new film, but my love for Star Wars hasn't wavered in the slightest.

I can't wait for 10 years time when kids who grew up with the sequels get this nostalgic about those movies

Attack of the Clones, despite all the hate this movie is getting for the weird dialogues is actually one of my favorite prequel movies.
I just love travelling from Coruscant to Naboo. From Kamino to Geonosis. When watching this movie, I really feel like I'm on a road trip in the Star Wars galaxy and I like that !

Great video btw !

In 2015, I was still in high school and watching The Force Awakens. Was basically the first Star Wars movie I remember seeing. Eventually thanks to the Star Wars high I was going through. I eventuality remembered I saw The Clone Wars in theaters; its a fuzzy memory of a theater going experience

I love the amount of crappy old Phantom Menace merch on the internet that people thought would be worth a lot of money. Something about it is funny, but also warm and nostalgic. I wasn't even old enough to remember it, but I still love it
