The CSB is not "taking liberties" when it translates things that "can not be translated word for word". it is operating by necessity (as must ALL translations in that case).

I primarily study the NKJV but will use the NASB, ESV, Amplified, CSB and NLT as cross references. It helps break down expand certain words or points. I have found value it them all.

I love how you're aware of the scope of your audience here on YouTube; because people from developing countries don't have many choices when it comes to bible translations.

I’ve read through more than 7 translations over 30 years. KJV, NKJV, AMP, NIV, NASB, LB, & ESV. My favorite for the last 10 years has been the ESV. Started this year with NASB2020.

You named the four i use regularly. I like the idea of comparing how things are worded when something isn't clear at first.

Love the LSB, it's excellent for many reasons, it's now my favorite. NKJV is great also. ESV would be third, and my runner up for easy reading and new believers and learners, is the NLT.

2. GNV1599
3. NKJV
4. NLT (beginners only, before moving on to solid food...)

I like the CSB but I find the poetry seems odd but I know it’s to make it more understandable.

I mainly read out of the NKJV and the Amplified 2015. But I do have the NASB because that's what my pastor using to teach and preach out of. I also have ESV and NIV and NLT.
But I study from the NKJV and the Amplified 2015 are my go to's.

Help!

I got NKJV super giant print, which i like till i arrived to
Titus 2:15

For that verse, i prefer NASB.

Now can someone explain this verse, if you wish.

In other Bible versions, it sounds like we can step on other people's free will.

Vs in NASB its sounds more like making sure you are respected.

Now why oh why verses are so different?

NKJV for study and just for reading the NLT.

I agree with your first three: NKJV, LSB and ESV; with my preference being the NKJV and very recently, the LSB. However, I strongly believe that the Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) is much better than the CSB, because the HCSB includes the longer passages that are based on the TR (as does the LSB), and, it also capitalizes the deity pronouns, which I prefer. Unfortunately, the CSB has not followed the HCSB in these two aspects. Just my thoughts and personal opinions.

1.) NASB(2020) 2.) ESV, 3.) CSB, 4.) KJV/NKJV. Honorable mention NLT. I think it’s great alongside the KJV or NASB. Unpopular opinion, I’m just not a fan of the LSB. It’s the NASB 95 but they replaced “LORD” with “Yahweh” in the Old Testament. I have a copy of the LSB but I hardly grab it because it’s not that different from the other formal translations. Just one mans opinion

1. KJV 2.NKJV 3. NASB 77 4. CSB. I was pleasantly surprised by the CSB. I would love to read the HCSB, but it being out of print, I haven't been able to find one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

LSB and ESV are my favorite English Translations. NKJ is excellent too since my church is KJV Only.
