How It Works Part 1:

Marble Machine Music Video:

Swedish band Wintergatan will play live concerts starting from summer 2016.

If you want to support:
The fact that you are watching the videos and care about the music and future of Wintergatan is the best support anyone can have, I want to thank everyone who is here for that kind of support, it is really the fuel for the Wintergatan Engine.

If you apart from that further want to support the projects, we have these different options set up:

►Sponsor the Wintergatan Youtube Channel by clicking the blue sponsor button next to subscribe

PAYPAL ME

Why do we accept support in this way?
I, Martin, can already sustain myself 100% doing what I love to do. If you want to support artists/organisations who have not yet reached that privileged position, please consider supporting other artists/organisations who need the support more. With that said, I have too many ideas and too little time and with your support I can get more help from people around me to execute the ideas better and bring them out in the world faster. There are musicians, and there are builders. Rare to see both in the same person.
I like the shakiness of the machine. Makes it more miraculous that it works!

Besides your exceptional genius, you are also very humble. The humility to point out your mistakes and to state that there are a lot of it. Man, that's rare. Great job Mr. Molin!

That piano loop was ecstasy. When u progressed to the C chords i literally got shivers.

In a world of Internet videos where everything is made to look perfect, I find it so cool that you share with us not only this wonderful music, but also the flaws of your insane creation. Thank you Martin.

5:30 - While it's true that the small legs make the machine less accurate from all of the shaking, it also makes it appear "alive". A neat touch, even if it wasn't intentional.

Abought problem with LEGO parts. You're using simple technic pin or "Connector Peg" (LEGO Design ID: 3673). Try to use Axle to Pin connector (LEGO Design ID: 43093) instead. They are the same from the one side of the detail and much stronger from the other. Both of this parts are the same length, so you wouldn't need to resize other parts.

Am i the only one who gets goosebumps while listening to the last part when he plays the song on that piano ?

There hasn't been many good news lately but this incredible Wintergatan Marble Machine is a little glimmer of light in the tunnel of humanity. This is the stuff we should be doing as a species.

Thank you Martin Molin (and the whole working group from camera operators to editors of course) for reminding me about the importance of patience - and of course the importance of the trial and error. I don't know you but your piece of work shines bright like a beacon in the dark. For a moment there you made me realize I'm alive - experiencing "the here" and "the now". For me that kind of reaching out to touch people is probably the ultimate reason to make art.

Thank you, sir!

I frequently come back to this video just to hear the piano song at the end. I almost enjoy it more than the properly recorded piano version because there's just something so natural and raw about it. I almost always start tearing up when the bass switches to C major. Just so painfully beautiful.

There is always just a very thin line between madness and brilliance...Some people live on that line...

The top heaviness of the machine is what I love most about it. Makes it look straight out of a Dr. Seuss book.

The guy doesn't seem to know just how brilliant and uniquely talented he really is. A rare thing indeed. That makes him even more worthy of respect and admiration.

Omg, he's so smart! And he speaks better English than most Americans speak any other foreign language.
