Easy way to remember if you are struggling to understand:
- NEARBY: Suspensory ligaments SLACKENS - Cilary muscles CONTRACT (remember it as SS and CC)
However, when you think about it for far objects, you can just think of the opposite. (Suspensory ligaments taut, cilary muslces relax)
Hope thats helps!!🎉🎉

Ophthalmologist here. If the eye is long- or short-sighted, it’s not always the lens’s fault. Short sighted people often have longer eyeballs, so the focus falls short of the retina. Long sighted people often have small eyes, so their focus overshoots the eyeball. It can also be the fault of the cornea, which can be too flat or too curved

From a medical student perspective, you have the best video on eye correlating both anatomy and physiology at the same time, and the best part of your video is animation because eye physiology is something best understood by visualisation. I encourage you to start making videos of physiological concepts for medschool.

Hey cognito!
Although I am not particularly sure, aren't the diagrams at 5:40 the wrong way round? I would imagine that the relative lens of a long-sighted person would be significantly less fat than the diagram illustrates, considering that the inability to view close objects is derived from having a less elastic lens(thinner).
