I found this method to be extremely rudimentary and of little use in properly setting up a computer monitor.

It does not matter if this works if the setting will not hold. Every time the computer comes back from being shut down or sleeping, it has gone back to the old settings

Why not have this done through the drivers? It makes it a hell lot easier and you don't have to write things down as the default could easily be hard coded into the drivers.

the thing gets to reset the moment you play some of the games. Should have been some hardware settings.

How are you supposed to calibrate your monitor using the suggested method on an uncalibrated monitor because the colors you see will not be true colors!

Just got a Dell G7 15 7588 and videos look terrible. Dark areas are too dark. If I adjust the brightness and contrast to make that look okay, then the normal areas are way too bright.
Tried to adjust gamma, but was unable to make the dot disappear. Continued with the rest of the settings in this video, but it didn't help.
Move the youtube webpage to my external 27" monitor, and it always looks fine.
Is something wrong with this display??
Couldn't find anything about this in the DCF :-(

Adjusting the gamma, without worrying about making the dot disappear, seems to have solved my problem.

--- I have 2 questions for Dell or anyone else that knows about monitors.---
A: Is there settings to adjust blending the colors because the main problem I have with my Dell S2417DG monitor is that the colors blending is SO BAD?! It looks like just blobs. Otherwise, I love it (minus its a TN and not an ISP).


B: Is there a monitor out there that is 24-Inch Screen, LED, IPS or VA, with G-SYNC, QHD 2560 x 1440 (or better), at least 100Hz, View adjustments (at least up and down good), Response Time, 16:9 Aspect Ratio? Thanks.

Great explanation. The only issue is that this method hardly changes the over-saturation. Utter rubbish.

I got M15 this Feb and the the colors are saturated, if we are using only the laptop its wonderful. I'm a photographer and I use this for editing images, the color variation in this laptop and other devices are unbelievable. How to get the display to look at least close to common standard?

Sir, Because of some dots on my Dell monitor (E2421HN) I got it replaced from Dell with a monitor (E2422HS). But I don't feel the same clarity in my monitor as before. Do I need to change any settings for my replaced monitor?
