I just watched the movie today and fully realized just how perfectly the scene and music fit together

This song in my opinion, just PERFECTLY captures the feelings of Marlin in this scene and the dread of trying to find his son, only to realize he's lost within the middle of the ocean, far away from home, and frantically asking for help from the fish until he meets Dory, when the tone of the song transitions to a slightly happier tone. god I love this movie

Brilliant piece of music. It's like this music is perfect for daunting the worst possible news on you, like being lost and having someone being kidnapped from at the same time.

God this song is _terrifying._ It perfectly encapsulates how it feels to lose the only person you have left, not knowing where they are and trying desperately to save them, only to fail. Every parent's worst nightmare.

Whenever I hear this part, I imagine a mother/father running around in a frenzy, shouting for their son/daughter, becoming more and more desperate the longer they look. It really captures that feeling of rising terror and dread as you begin to assume the worst.
