Im a license teacher and dont want to stay as a teacher forever, my first language is java and i stop learning java because they say java is so hard to learn and they say python or javascript is easy to learn but what i noticed while learning a programming language like python im easy to learn but i realize i dont like python and javascript and now i started learning java again and maybe soon if i become better in java maybe soon python or javascript, this video is so great, thank you and continue making more videos.

This was such a great video, you were simply super straightforward and honest about the reality of what language will pay you back faster, which is the most important thing. Nothing wrong with Java, but if you want to get a job as fast as possible there are better options! Personally I'm learning Java and enjoy it because its in my school curriculum, and I know it will help me learn other languages faster but I am fine with that choice.

I totally agreed with you but.I also learning javascript but in india big tech companies are hiring developer have knowledge in oops concepts & better DSA knowledge. So learning java first gives you the advantage of learning oops & DSA. It also very easy to migrate from java to another language like javascript, python. So learn Java it always useful

Java is not verbose. It was before Java8, but not after. That's almost 10 years ago. There've also been many small improvements like e.g. records in recent years. Today you can write as compact code you wish with Java. I suggest you update your knowledge about Java. Third party frameworks like Javalin or Spring Boot makes it very quick and easy to create new lighweight applications. Java is still king when it comes to backend programming.

Why Java developer paid less? It's not easy to maintain a enterprise level application. Then why they paid less? May you answer the question sir?

A lot of you are thinking about this in the wrong way. Different languages are solutions for different problems. You don´t use Javascript or Python for the same taskts as Java or C++. You don´t use PHP for the same stuff as C. Don´t buy in to the "i hate this" or "this is better than this". Learn them and use them as solutions.

I will say that learning Java in college has made it much easier for me to learn other languages

(Edit) Learned Java throughout my time here in college but in my software development internship, I only used JS & python. As you said, it all depends on what you want to do. Enterprise/Android —> Java but in 2022, I’d say that it’s best to learn JS or python if you’re just starting out.

I agree with Alec about Java and mostly Java is used to maintain legacy code nowadays. But Javascript is also a cluster fuck technology every now and then you will have learn a new way of doing things like you are learning it over again. It's IT prostitution and a pain that's why it's paid as much it isn't only JS it's a shitload of other tech from different sources. What you learned 6-7 months ago might not apply later. The best unified route would be .NET the Microsoft docs are really well written, Microsoft is also innovating much faster now than Oracle since Oracle acquired Sun Microsystems back in 2009.

This video was a bitter pill for me to swallow, my friend, and not what I wanted to hear, but it sounds right. I am just starting out and am learning Java. I've given myself 2 years to be job-ready and settled on Java because it's easy to understand (for me). I tried Python, JS, and C++ and it just didn't stick, but 3 months into learning Java, I'm building my own apps that simplify my life and I'm having a BLAST doing it. It seems like the biggest problem you have with someone learning a language other than the one they will be using for work, is that you feel that time would be better spent working towards the other. What if it takes 2 or 3 times longer struggling for a language that doesn't click? I love your passion and you seem highly intelligent, thank you for your guidance. Subscribed.

Even I also think the same
I don't know why java got so popular
It takes lots of time and space
It have more line of code
It is slower
It is very strict language, which generates a hell lot of errors
And the typecasting sucks
It have too many concepts such as threading
I've learnt this language just bcz it was included in my 5th semester course
Now bye bye java
Rest in peace ☮️

I'm looking at learning Java as its the thing my company is interested in though I'm more into SwiftUI if it were up to me. There's only opportunities for data and data testing it seems where I look so your points about big enterprise really helped clarify whats up.
