This is the coolest desktop computer I’ve ever seen. combine the form factor with the RAM bump and I’m genuinely excited, though I don’t need it today. I love that Apple shouted out concert tours as being a place you’ll find them. That’s certainly a use case I was thinking of!

It hurts just thinking about the pain Mac Pro 2019 users must feel. Even at 5k the new maxed out Mac mini is 10x cheaper than the Intel Mac Pro/3x times cheaper than the base model Intel Mac Pro and the new Mac mini probably runs loops around it. What a wonderful time to be alive as a Mac mini server farm though I would imagine

I pre ordered it! I'm upgrading from M1 Pro MacBook Pro which has still been a beast for me. I've never put much interest into Mac Mini's but I am loving this new compact form factor and with M4 Pro chip, I'm sure it'll be seamless with my 2 Apple studio display set up. Nice and minimal for my desk. As a Graphic Designer I want that extra power for larger projects without taking up much space. Also excited for the minimal cable management too.

I had a MI Mac Studio and sold it to upgrade to the M3 Max 14". The problem was that thing throttled so I am concerned that the top end on this machine will also throttle. That is a lot of computing power inside a cube. There is no way your going to be able to dissipate the heat of the CPU, GPU and Memory not to mention a 10G connection. I'm think meltdown, come to think of it thunderbolt 4 also gets hot. I want to see the stress tests on this thing before I buy.
