I like the thinking! And possibly have an idea to cut a step out, which you might employ already....can't you ascertain how many rings 'max OP' is for a given club... Then you see how many rings into OP you pull, subtract that from the value you have, and that tells you how many rings to pull back from max?

Great this method is finally out there. Ive been using this for a while and been working well especially for drives. Hopefully guidemakers will start implementing this “true op” instead of rings of op, as it’s much more accurate
