I loved this game ^^ Untill they made Jedi/Sith a class that u can choose -_-
It was so cool to see a Jedi/Sith, well I only saw 1. When I got back to the game after that shit patch and climbed some hill infront of Mos Eisley it looked like a fkn christmas tree... ruined the game -_-

For those who might be coming by here for some nostalgia and would like to play this game again, I'd like to bring attention to our SWG server, Empire in Flames.

 Our server is set roughly a year after ROTJ, where they are trying to combine the best elements of Pre-Cu, CU and NGE and with many, many new features too, making it better than it was before. Including new player species, items, improvments on combat, balance, housing, professions (where professions are now seperated from "skills" aka you can be a master Bounty Hunter class and never touch a ranged weapon in the entire game if you desire), an all new Jedi unlock system unique to EIF, new and hand crafted planets from scratch, improved and meaningful PVP (which affects the galaxy via factional planet conquest, which affects the stats and resources of players), drivable combat walkers (such as AT-ATs), immersive content, new stories in the works, and more :) The server population has been rising rapidly, so check it out of it peaks interest!

I miss hunting parties into dathomir with the ranger setting up a really sweet camp so we could heal, taming all the awesome creatures, riding around on a creature mount hunting all sorts! Then coming back to tralus, checking all my harvesters for resources, making awesome weapons :D

I played this when I was like 10 when my brother wasn't playing! Was so insane having a open world Star Wars game where you could get houses, speeders, and all that awesome stuff. Great memories begging for credits ;D

what i love about starwars is there are hundreds of planets and every planet has a back story and there is so much to learn about the back stories so no one can really say they now everything about starwars

The game was extremely popular because it offered so many ways to play in an MMORPG environment from combatant and tradesman to healer and entertainer roles. The game was buzzing until the release of the "Combat Upgrade" (CU) in 2005. The CU completely nerfed the role of doctors and doctor buffs and prevented combatants from stacking defensive buffs.

@KKTplm Correction: Star Wars Galaxies was out far before World of Warcraft. In fact, Star Wars Galaxies is one of the first wide-spread MMO's out there. Your statement that it is a wowclone is in fact an incorrect statement as this had come first making WoW a clone of SWG. I do agree, the HUD looks a lot alike but this is Post CU version, the Pre CU version would be too difficult for the average player to understand. The HUD was very detailed and very complex in the precu which is why i like it
