The survey we got did NOT spell out the consequences. As a Plhs parent I feel like the school was NOT transparent whatsoever.

There’s no such thing as a “free lunch”.

We are all paying for this with Tax Money, it's kind of like getting charged twice for the same food .

Why should lunch and breakfast ever be free? Can someone explain? My mom always wrote a lunch money check. They were below average income. Back in the 90's.. why are kids getting free stuff in 2024? Oh inflation.. ok. Shutting dowm buisinesses. Burning down minneapolis. I see a trend.

It should be free, no matter how much your parent makes.

I know Byron is a snobby school district what's Prior Lakes problem. When you have the option of free lunch programs you everyone you should take advantage of it. When you have to pay it's usually the low income students that get favored for free lunches. If you're middle class you have to pay.

This is ridiculous on multiple levels for sure. For making sure that all kids at these two high schools get the free meals that they need should be more important than making a profit. Apparently the love of money is over rules caring for the needs of kids at both Prior Lake and Byron high schools.

Good for them. If parents cant afford lunch for their kids, dont have kids. School lunches suck anyways. My kids pack their own. In elementary school most of the food gets tossed because kids hate it

Pay $3.25 a day for lunch for high school lunches that the school district is providing or $16.25 a week, hell I make my kid their own lunch and they can pick what ever lunch they want. I go to Costco but their lunches The School District is being greedy so I don't mind going to Costco to Spend $65 a month or even $100 for my Teenage Grandson Devon luckily he goes to Apple Valley -Eastview High School in the Rosemount -Apple Valley-Eagan Independent School District 196

Survey question: Is the sky blue?

School: As a result of the surveys, we will no longer offer free lunches.

You get what you pay for and when it's free under federal and state guidelines, the kids suffer to lack of taste, choices and small portions!
