I took out the GPS card from my Mazda 3 and now my infotainment system works perfect. It was rebooting every 1-2 minutes before removing the card. Only catch is GPS navigation no longer works but since I usually use my phone this made no difference to me anyway. I hope this helps you fix your Mazda 3 radio!

I recently got the same advice from a Mazda forum and it worked! I wished I had known this simple fix sooner but at least I didn't give in to the dealer selling me a new Infotainment system, so I'm grateful for that. Spread the word, John Cooper, my rebooting days are over!
Now, what I'd really like to know is what causes the SD card to get corrupted?!?

I updated my firmware, and updated the map files on the SD. Worked like a charm.

My CX-5 2017 has this same problem. It is the SD card issue. Nav tries to load the map and stuck there. If it could not load the map for about a minute, it will reboot (timeout). I did the SD backup (Mazda Toolbox) and put it on another SD card. Using the new SD card, the map load quickly and the infotainment system does not reboot once the map is loaded.
Try pop the SD card out and see if your system still reboot. If it does not (note: you loose your Nav), then clone your SD card. Fix mine.
At first it only happens in the morning when it is cold (around 40F in California) then it started to get more frequent. Clone your SD card to a new one. I got a 32gb card and it won't recognize. Clone partition to 8gb and it works!!!
Get the card from Amazon for $5.
Update: Clone partition of 10gb works, too. Got two cards working now.
