I have a theory that the reason they made George McFly upside down like that was to make it harder for audiences to figure out that that wasn’t actually Crispin Glover acting.

Again, this is a great scene and shouldnt have been deleted. Okay, maybe the pacing gets slowed down or whatever but it shows more visual FX with the vistaglide camera, and it also has a great line that's a take on the dinner scene form the first movie regarding two TVs

Wow...this full scene is brilliant, but I understand why Zemeckis trimmed it. Aside from Jennifer observing the family, there's not really much to drive the plot forward. He left just enough intact with the finished film, to let people know about Marty's car accident and introducing the character of Needles.
