Carolyn Brown, OTR/L, CLT, Occupational Therapist in our Outpatient Center brings you through exercises that help with spasticity. Spasticity is a muscle condition that causes muscles to stiffen and/or tighten making fluid movement difficult. When doing these exercises at home, make sure to be in a safe environment and if available, make sure someone is nearby should you need assistance.

Thank you for this very practical video.
Hope to see more of this for stroke recovery and children with delayed developmental milestones or spectrum disorders

I'm another one like everyone else here, who will gratefully say "This is truly God-sent". The lady (therapist) has done an excellent job doing both the demo and explanation at the same time. I really hate it when one goes on a very lengthy talk and a little demo. For years, I've been following random you tube videos to cope with my spasticity but none worked. Neither was I too fond of them. Stumbling upon this was like getting a new life. Now, I do this everyday and I've never felt this better. Thank you a gazillion times!!! ❤️

hello, thank you very much.
According to my understanding, the entire injured body is one unit. There is no separation. My method is circular movements thousands of times until the tension of the head, neck, arms, legs, and back is released, all circular movements thousands of times.

Hello, please which of all the techniques are most appropriate to begin your therapy with ? Because i understand that certain movement or actions will facilitate the other ...However are there any precautions to be taken especially with patient or client groups who have a CVA and might have certain damages to their limbs if precautions are not taken?
