In my case, my ex said he didn't love me in a romantic way anymore. He was in a rebound but insisted he wanted to be friends. He just didn't want to let me go. He was still wanting to talk to me every day and he knew I wanted to get back together. My heart was breaking for months, I had to go into no contact for myself. I wasn't able to get over him and watch him move on while he only wanted to be friends with me at that time.

It's been 5 months since me and my ex spoke. In those 5 months she's liked some of my post on social media and I don't understand that. Lately I've been wondering if I should reach out to her, but I'm not sure. My mother told me not to and my friend says I should, because maybe she wants me to. But I mean if she wanted me to reach out to her she would have already contacted me. About 2 days ago I saw she updated her status to in a relationship. When I saw this I was devastated, because I don't understand how she could move on so quickly, especially since she told me that she's not in a good place health-wise. I still have some of her stuff and she also hasn't asked for her stuff back and I was wondering if I should just go and give it to her? I've been trying really hard to move on and work on myself, but I just can't stop thinking about her. Ever since I saw her status I've been wondering if it's true or if it's just a way to get attention. Does anyone have advice? I just can't do this anymore and in all honesty, I'm tired and I don't want to go on.

Clay, what if he's gone back and forth on the idea of reconciliation for 3 months, but ultimately told me that we can't repair things? We were supposed to meet up next weekend after many weeks of no contact. I gave him time and space as he had requested. He said he has made some emotional and mental progress over those few weeks/months and he doesn't want to fiddle with what he's been able to establish and fall into a mental slump again by seeing me.
