Very helpful to see this video, Dr. Ebraheim. Nobody has told me anything. My doctors ignore me when I show them my crocked fingers, but now when swollen and one was infected for a week, maybe they will pay attention.

Thank you again for your very helpful explanation! I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos as this is the best one I have seen on hand osteoarthritis! Esp. appreciate the info about mucus cysts, I got one of these and had no idea what it was, what caused it, or what to do about it. Now, I do though and am planning to get it removed very soon! I believe mine was caused by pulling the inner sealed ring out of square waxed coated cardboard milk cartons and the pull tab on canned goods. Good to know osteophytes can also be removed. I have been wondering why that has not been presented as an alternative to fusing, etc. Many thanks!

Almost all my family going back generations have both joint swellings. Ours are not painful and i assumed it came from working with your hands throughout the years.

I have DIPs and PIPs but with no pain. My hands look terrible but they don't hurt at all.

I tuned into this video as I know I have inherited Heberden nodes from my mother who had them in middle age. I have been a typist and love gardening and I think this has contributed to to this condition. Thank you, the video gave me an insight into the medical condition.
