As some mentioned, you can just click the pencil icon next to the setting you want to change. I evidently like to make things harder for myself :)

I like watching your videos because you generally explain things in an easy to understand way. This one especially. I had watched about 6 or 7 videos about VSCode and Git without really learning anything. The last seven minutes of your video told me everything I needed to understand to make it work. Thank you.

This is fantastic, as an X sublime text user I was majorly overwhelmed with Visual Studio Code and this video made everything make sense! Thanks!

I just wanna go ahead and say that your videos are SO worth the 38 minutes of my time. I am currently developing a data-driven website for an assignment I have and your videos are helping me understand things so much easier. I personally believe that anything is easy only if it is explained by the right person and you are the right person. Thank you for these videos, I will donate if you have any way of donating :)

In the settings, you can click the little pencil icon that appears on hover > Copy to Settings (or if it has a set number of options it'll give you a list to pick from) to have the setting copied automatically with correct formatting and everything. No need to copy/paste or worry about formatting.

Man, how do you read our minds ? I just unsubscribed from JetBrains subscription and was watching Microsofts Talks on Visual Studio Code. I refreshed my other Youtube tab and BAM your VS Code video pops up. Definitely gonna pump my Patreon amount to you.

I really like what MS have done with this product. By making it available for everyone, I have a lot more faith in them as a company now for bettering the world.

Thanks for making these videos. As a person that is trying to learn web design on a low income, I am very dependent of the generosity of you people like yourself that share their knowledge on youtube.

However, I really do have to say that no matter how well intentioned a viewer is, the more mono-tone your voice is and the more of a data barrage you throw out, the harder it becomes for your audience to keep up their attention span. I have attended teaching courses in the past and the first thing that they all stress to you is the need to form and maintain a connection with the people you are trying to teach. Simple things like increasing the range of your vocal tone, slipping personal prefs for some features, "I love this part of the app" ...."I hate this part of the app" Even smart ass remarks and occasional quips. Anything to humanise yourself every now and then goes a long way to hold your audiences attention and retaining the information you are trying to show them will be so much easier for them.

I made it to 11 minutes before I had to stop your clip because I just could not pay attention any longer in spite of wanting to learn what you are showing us.

Thanks again for making the clips amigo.
I really hope my words don't offend you. I'm just trying to help :-)

you can use "up" and "down" keys while you are checking what theme you want to use then you don't have to go to again and again to file -> preference -> color theme

Just installed Visual Studio Code tonight as everyone's been on about it for what seems like ages. I've been using Atom for a year or so now but so far VSC looks sweet. Lots of in-built functionality. Was browsing through it's settings when I thought to myself "I know who'll have a video about this" and off I went. Cheers Brad, thanks for the extension suggestions and basic setup info. :)

This is a great tutorial for a new person like myself. They have tweaked the setup of the program a little since this tutorial was made, but it's still good!
