i was using sublime text free edition then I moved to atom. Atom was very slow, it took 10 mins to load, during coding it often gets freeze. I am now using vscode and it's superb fast as compared to atom.

I am trying to configure my 3-D printer using VS code with Marlin 2.0.7.2. Windows 10 When I tell VS code to build I get an Access Denied Error 5. Any help would be appreciated.

Visual Studio Code itself is a big project and it is developed using Vscode and TypeScript also is a good sized project and is developed on Vscode (which are both projects written in TypeScript on VSCODE 🐔 🥚 🐣 🐓 🥚 ) it’s fast and lighter than any other app it’s quick to open and closes instantly

This might be slightly unrelated but since you went into this discussion about atom in the beginning, out of curiosity have you tried keeping atom extensions/plugins/packages to a minimum, for the longest time my atom had almost no plugin and I can't say I've ever experienced slowness...

3:16 - is NOT true any longer. - You can download any themes and it will theme the entire application.
I dont know what version you used in the past, but as of 06-01-2018 date the IDE can be completely themed by choosing any themes available in the extensions directory.
