The 1-4-5 Chord Progression | Songs that use I IV V

Показать описание
The 1-4-5 (I-IV-V) chord progression is a common one, and these chords are guaranteed to make a song 'work'. If you're new to songwriting or composing, these three chords are your ticket to coming up with a great song that has a strong backbone chord progression.
In this Piano lesson, I teach you what this chord progression means, and demonstrate several well-known songs that use I-IV-V chords.

Your videos are so helpful and my piano skills have improved SO MUCH! Thank you! Virginia (Wind in The Night) by Head and The Heart is one I really want to learn. It sounds like it would be really fun to play!!! I'd suggest that one for a new tutorial video!

You're video's are amazing!! I've been playing the piano for a long time myself and I used to play mainly classical, but your tutorials have me shifting more to the pop genre too :) I don't know if you take requests for your tutorials, but if you do I was wondering if you could do the Enchanted x Wildest Dreams mashup Taylor Swift used to play on her tour. I have been trying it myself and the Wildest Dreams part was easy enough to figure out, but the intro and the Enchanted part are a little tricky. Anyway, keep up the good work!! Loved this video too ❤

Very well done, when you play the song it would help folks if you highlighted the cords as they were being played, you are so very good, thanks for the video,

Just by ear, perhaps Hootie and the blowfish “Hold My Hand” kinda sounds like a i-iv-V in the chorus. But I’m not certain
